A Call to be Real!

Being real and honest can be a challenge in this world for many people. I have gathered several reasons for my belief in this issue and challenge. For starter, let me begin by saying that I am not afraid or offended if you or any other reading this article are offended by it. This article is simply created to express and illustrate what I have seen, heard, and experienced throughout my lifetime’s interactions with people in general.

I find that many individuals seek the acceptance of others by fixating into a mold that they deem necessary for survival. Few individuals want to go against the grain or stand out as unusual or uncommon. They believe if they do this they have a lot to lose than gain. This belief of course has its origin in fear. Although many may say it is not fear, but simply common sense to know that one is being wise to take certain cautious approaches for becoming an achiever.

Well, I am here to say to anyone struggling with being real, you are only hurting yourself. It is stressful to fit into a mold of being a person that you know is not who you are. You will soon realize that you can never please people no matter what you do to fit in. People will disappoint and hurt you. You will always have to adjust and dance to their music which in turn is them controlling you and your happiness. So, please for the love of God and self release this notion of fitting in and be true to yourself and God. You will be a better person and in much better health when you are freed from that position.

The only person that will not disappoint us is God. He created us all for his own pleasure and purpose. God is fixated on us all having life and having it more abundantly – John 10:7-10. God sent his son Jesus into the world.
“Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” This is God’s promise to us. He wants us to follow his son Jesus’ lead as the only true example. It is true that Jesus’ standard for living is very high, but he has equipped us all to be victorious no matter what obstacles we face. Also, as we read the Bible we will discover the many promises he made for our lives and begin a journey of discovering and experiencing them. It is important to stay focus on Jesus. He will never fail us. He promised to be with us even on to the end of the age as we observe all things whatsoever he commanded. Matthew 28:20. Be and stay blessed!
